Stonewall Alliance Center of Chico is back with another Coming Out for Art special exhibition. This year's exhibition is titled Unforgotten Stories: A Queer Anthology for Our Collective Memory and will be on view from October 2 - November 1, 2026.
A special opening reception will be held on Saturday, October 16th from 3PM-8:30PM and will feature select artisan vendors, many exhibiting artists, and performers.

Produced by Stonewall Alliance of Chico and Museum of Northern California Art, UNFORGOTTEN STORIES features art works of our LGBTQ+ community.
Humans are storytellers. It's how we record the past, learn lessons, make meaning, form identities, and understand our place in the world. Censorship and narrative control of Queer and Trans histories, realities, and futures attempt to bury our existence but when we choose and hold the stories that define us, teach us and sustain us, we choose and hold power for ourselves. Artists are invited to bring art that tells their stories, their ancestors' stories, and their communities' stories as we co-create a Queer anthology of things we must not forget.
