Pedal Press & Divine Sundays have happily received a grant through the City of Chico Arts Commission for a Day of the Dead Art Project!
The project, Colores de Unidad (Colors of Unity), will bring together works from 10 local artists of different backgrounds to explore death. The goal is to showcase a diverse range of perspectives on how we honor those who have passed and how we find beauty in the transition between life and memory.
Artists will be expected to have complete or nearly complete works to showcase at the Chico Day of the Dead Festival on Nov 1st.
After the festival all works will be on view at monca from Nov 5-15. Come experience a collective exploration of the cultural tradition of Dia De Muertos, memory, and honoring life.
Presented by Divine Sundays & Pedal Press. Funded by the City of Chico 2026 Arts Commission Grant.
