Stonewall Alliance Coming Out For Art - Art Against Erasure

Stonewall Alliance Center of Chico is back with another Coming Out for Art special exhibition. This year's exhibition is titled Art Against Erasure and will be on view from October 9-19, 2025.

An opening reception will be held on Saturday, October 11th from 4-8PM and will feature select artisan vendors and many exhibiting artists.

The reception will offer drinks for purchase. Opening receptions are always FREE and open to the public.

The theme Art Against Erasure stems from the recent political moves against the LGBTQ+ community, such as removing funding from LGBTQ+  youth suicide hotlines, and redacting LGBTQ+ historical facts from federally ran websites. The Stonewall Alliance of Chico believes this theme can bring artists to create pieces that share the sentiment that the LGBTQ+ community is strong and will continue to fight the injustices that the current political system has tried to erase.

Stonewall is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting and celebrating the health, empowerment, and joy of the North State LGBTQ+ community at every intersection of their identities. The organization provides advocacy, education, direct services, and resources to LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies throughout the Northern Sacramento Valley.
