REGISTER HERE
This two-hour session invites artists of all skill levels to explore mark making, observation, speed, and a place to let go in a museum setting. Whether you are picking up a pencil for the first time or have been sketching for years, come sharpen your skills and study the human form.
Each pose features a dynamic mix of quick gesture drawings, ranging from 1- to 5-minute poses to capture movement and energy, followed by longer 10- to 15-minute poses for more detailed study. Models will be nude, in keeping with traditional figure drawing practices.
This drawing session will be supervised but non-instructional. The artist will, however, be happy to offer basic guidance and answer questions during the session. To make this drawing session cost-effective, please bring your own art materials (dry mediums or tablets). No paints or inks at this time. The museum will provide tables and chairs.
Come sketch the human form at monca!
Ticket price: $15 per person, bring your own art supplies! Basic art materials can be provided until supplies last.
Must be 18+ to attend. Please arrive 10 minutes ahead of time to set up your space.
