An opening reception for Unforgotten Stories: A Queer Anthology for Our Collective Memory be held on Saturday, October 16th, 2026 from 3PM-8:30PM and will feature select artisan vendors and many exhibiting artists.
The show is hosted by Stonewall Alliance Center of Chico and will be on view from October 2 - November 1, 2026.
The reception will offer drinks for purchase. Opening receptions are always FREE and open to the public.

Humans are storytellers. It's how we record the past, learn lessons, make meaning, form identities, and understand our place in the world. Censorship and narrative control of Queer and Trans histories, realities, and futures attempt to bury our existence but when we choose and hold the stories that define us, teach us and sustain us, we choose and hold power for ourselves. Artists are invited to bring art that tells their stories, their ancestors' stories, and their communities' stories as we co-create a Queer anthology of things we must not forget.
