ART WORKSHOP : HAVING FUN WITH YUPO
Join artist Ellery Akers in a drawing and painting workshop to explore using Yupo, a new synthetic plastic paper that is completely erasable.
In this fun, process-oriented class, we’ll focus on building up layers, exploring negative space, and using unconventional tools: q-tips, sponges, and small brooms.
We’ll try a lot of free-form exercises: drawing with a twig, creating marks and partially erasing them, and creating texture by “printing” with sponges and paper towels.
Pads of Yupo paper and some basic ink and watercolor materials will be available.
Register in person or over the phone during museum hours (Thurs-Sun 11-5). See you there!
