Opening Reception for Ellery Akers: Nature Poet & Artist

We’re thrilled to invite you to the Opening Reception for Ellery Akers, celebrated nature poet and artist, on Thursday, November 14, from 6-8 PM at monca. Known for her evocative poetry and art, Ellery Akers captures the beauty, fragility, and resilience of the natural world, inviting us to reflect on our own connection to it.

This free reception will feature a no-host bar and the simultaneous opening of our juried exhibition, Spell It Out—a compelling collection that explores themes of language, identity, and expression through diverse artistic media.
